Creative Use of Video for Nonprofits

Video can be an effective tool in your nonprofit tool kit. It can help you raise consciousness and raise funds. It can educate the community, generate volunteers, and publicize your services. Video about your nonprofit can be seen on local television, or included on your website or used to market your organization to community groups. In this presentation you will see a variety of videos —from 30-second PSA’s to snippets of long-form documentaries —and hear how they’ve been used to serve the needs of nonprofits.

Morning Workshop: Make Your Ask Count!
During the interactive workshop, participants discovered their own, sometimes surprising attitudes toward money. And more importantly, attendees learned how personal attitudes affect the way development professionals approach “the ask.”

Luncheon presentation,“How Did They Do That?”
Janie and Carole addressed the often-asked question of how and why donors give to organizations. Each emphasized that major gifts are the result of building trusting relationships with donors over time — by the organization and by the person asking.
